I wrote this book and my talented wife - Beck Feiner - illustrated it. It’s published by Harper Collins and based on the simple insight that adults run our country, but adults are boring. What amazing things would we as a nation turn our attention to iff kids were in charge? We launched the book at Parliament House, and only several months after, it’s already in reprint.
With a love of cinema I tried my hand at some writing and direction for the big screen. My second short film, Old Man, made specifically for TROPFEST - the world's largest short film festival - won Best Film, Best Comedy and Best Actor. It also won Best Comedy at the St Kilda Short Film Festival.
My wife and I created a humorous deck of cards - a spin on the saccharine sweet Baby Milestone cards that celebrate baby’s first word, baby’s first month, mama’s first steps, etc. Our cards are designed celebrate MUM, and let her know that she’s not alone in the daily struggle of raising a bub.
The product has sold well, is stocked in retailers and has been covered by major online blogs and news sites such as Mamamia, Huffington Post, Mashable and Daily Mail UK. Miraculously we earned 6th spot on the Huffington Post's "29 Times Parents Were Hilarious And The Internet Loved It" list. We'll take it.
We followed Mum's Milestones with a pack for dad.
My wife and I have collaborated in the creation of a series of sculptures. They are made of 25mm thick ply. Each piece hand finished and hand assembled. We made 12 and sold them (except for our favourites, which we hang in our house.)
Aussie Legends Alphabet
Beck created an illustration series that cleverly pairs cultural legends to letters in the alphabet. I developed a linguistic style and tone to translate that series into a book for kids. It’s published by Harper Collins and available in all good book shops:)
